In celebration and commemoration of its 50 year history in Evansville, the staff of VPS Architecture celebrated its anniversary by planting 50 cherry blossom trees at the Shirley James Interpretive Site on May 20th. VPS Architecture was founded in 1960 and was originally known as Hironimus Knapp Given Associates. Now representing the company’s third generation of leadership, VPS owners Sarah A. Schuler, AIA and George S. Link, AIA, LEED AP felt the best way to show their gratitude for community partnerships and their commitment to environmental stewardship was to grace the Shirley James site with cherry blossoms to make the entry leading into the interactive site more attractive and enjoyable for the public.
